Beaver Creek Fire Hall

The new Beaver Creek firehall replaces the existing facility which is beyond its useful life and was completed prior to 1970. The architectural program is separated into two functional elements located on two separate floors.

The ground floor is comprised of the Fire Hall, EMS and SAR apparatus bays including adjacent support spaces and main entrance lobby for access to the remainder of the building. The second floor Training Room and Radio Room provide meeting, operations and training spaces for the facility and are located next to a 12,000 L holding tank.

The form of the building responds specifically to site conditions as well as to programmatic requirements as the roof plane folds to create height and volume and protective canopies where required.
