KZA was retained by Safe at Home Society in 2022 to help transform a hotel building to a supportive housing project with a total of 65 residential units.

The 42,232 square foot building dates to the early 1970’s and required extensive structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural code upgrades to transform the former hotel to compact residential units, shared amenity spaces, office support, and ground floor lease spaces. The project was delivered as a Progressive Design Build with Wildstone Construction. The collaborative process was helpful in defining upgrade costs early in the project so as to secure project funding.
